Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) / Intelligence Bureau (IB) has issued an Security Assistant (SA) / Executive (Exe.) Examination Post Notification 2025. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has released the detailed notification pdf announcing 4987 vacancies of Security Assistant/Executive posts. The IB Recruitment 2025 Apply Online link has been activated from 26 july 2025 onwards at the official website www.mha.gov.in. Interested candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria must submit their application forms before the closing date from the official website of MHA.

The Intelligence Bureau under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has made the official announcement regarding the recruitment drive for Security Assistant (SA) /Executive (Exe.) 4987 positions. The online application link for IB Recruitment 2025 became active starting 26 July 2025 on the official website www.mha.gov.in. The commission is responsible for recruiting eligible candidates for this posts .

Selection Process

The candidates who all will apply for the IB Recruitment 2025 must be aware of the Selection process of the IB. Candidates who will qualify all the stages of selection process will get shortlisted for the final merit. The Selection Process for MHA IB Security Assistant (SA) /Executive (Exe.) Recruitment 2025 consists of the following phases:

• Tier-I Written Exam (Objective)
• Tier-II Written Exam (Descriptive)
• Local Language Test (For SA Only)
• Interview
• Document Verification
• Medical Examination

Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the IB Recruitment, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the Commission.  The eligibility criteria are as follows-

Age

The Age Limit of IB Recruitment Vacancy 2025 is 18 - 27 Years. The Age Relaxation will be given as per government rules. For Security Assistant/Executive post, the minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 27 years.

Qualification

Candidate must have passed the Secondary School Examination (Matriculation / 10^th  or equivalent examination) from a recognised board to fulfil the IB Recruitment Qualification criteria. Details of this requirements are as follows - 

Syllabus & Exam Pattern

IB Security Assistant Selection Process - The selection criteria for IB Recruitment 2025 include 3 levels as mentioned in the notification-

IB Security Assistant/Executive Exam Pattern 2025 -IB written examination consists of Objective multiple-choice questions. IB Questions paper is divided into 5 parts containing a total of 100 questions. The IB written exam consists of General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English and General Studies. Each section in the exam is of 20 marks. The duration of the IB written exam is 1 hour.

Valuation

Each question carries 1 marks. For every wrong answer attempted, there is a negative marking scheme of 1/4 mark.

Syllabus

Tier 1

The candidates aspiring for the IB Security Assistant (SA)/Executive (Exe.) Recruitment must go through the syllabus which has been discussed in detail below. Have a look over the syllabus so as to be on a right track toward your preparation.

• General Knowledge- Animals Famous Personalities, Books And Authors, First Largest Longest etc. In World, Buildings Inventions And Discoveries, Calendars Languages, Countries, Music, Currencies Religions added in Intelligence Bureau Security Assistant Syllabus, Dances Sanctuaries, Disasters, World Organizations, Environment Statistical Data – World, Fashion, Prizes And Awards, Famous Places, Trade Awareness, Sports And Recreation and Miscellaneous.
• General Studies: The objective of the questions in this section will be to test the candidate's general knowledge of the surrounding environment and his/her ability in relation to its application in society. In this section, questions can be asked specifically regarding Jharkhand, India and its neighboring countries.

• India and its neighboring countries: History of neighboring countries, History of India, Culture, Geography, Economic scenario, Freedom Movement, Main features of Indian agriculture and natural resources, Constitution and polity of India, Political system of the country, Panchayati Raj, Community development etc.

• General Science: Physics (Basic principles, Forces and motion, Energy and its forms), Chemistry (Elements and compounds, Chemical reactions, Acids and bases), Biology Cell, Human physiology, Ecology and environment), Geography.
• Mathematics : In this section, questions can be asked from the following subjects of matric level (10th level). It includes various mathematical concepts and applications that is- Basic Numerical Efficiency, Number System , Calculating Whole Numbers , Decimals And Fractions, HCF LCM (Highest Common Factor and Least Common Multiple) , Percent, Ratio And Proportion and Relationship Between Numbers average, interest and profit and loss.
• Reasoning Ability : Verbal Tests, Reasoning Tests, Analytical Reasoning, Direction and Distance Test, Linear Arrangement Test,Complex Arrangement Test,Analogy Test, Classification (Odd an Out) Test,Coding Decoding Test, Series Test, Blood Relationships Test, Symbols and Notations,Alphabet Test, Data Sufficiency Test, Data Interpretation Test, Logic Tests, Syllogism, Statements Assumptions, Arguments, Conclusions, Statements Action, Non-Verbal Tests, Problems Based on Symmetry, Problems Based on Visual Ability, Classification (Non-Verbal Tests), Series (Non-Verbal Tests) and Analogy (Non-Verbal Tests).
• English : English Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms, Analogies, Spelling Mistakes, English Proficiency, Idioms and Phrases, One Word Substitution, Sentence Formation, Sentence Completion, Sentence Improvement, Sentence Reconstruction, Rearrangement of Words In Sentence, Rearrangement of Sentence In Paragraph, Paragraph Formation, Paragraph Completion, Fill in The Blanks, Cloze Tests, English Usage Errors, Common Errors, Spotting Errors, Inappropriate Usage of Words, Sentence Correction and English Comprehension.

Tier 2

The candidates qualifying in the Tier-1 exam will have to appear for Tier-2 Exam.

Common for all candidates- Translation of a passage of 500 words from the local language/dialect to English and vice versa. This offline descriptive test will be of 50 marks and the duration for the exam will be 1 hour.

The Tier-II exam is qualifying in nature. The qualifying marks in Tier-2 is 20 out of 50 for SA/Exe.

Tier 3 (Interview)

The candidates who qualify in Tier 1 & Tier 2 exams will be called for an interview round which will be conducted by the Intelligence Bureau for 50 marks.

Admit Card

The IB recruitment Exam Admit Card 2025 has not yet been announced. It will be updated here once it is uploaded on the official website. The Admit Card 2025 for each stage will be released separately by IB Board on its official website. Candidates who have completed the previous stages successfully will be eligible to download their admit card.

• Go to the link to download the Admit Card.
• Enter your registration number or roll number.
• Enter your date of birth, and your admit card will be accessible to download.
• Download and print a copy of the admit card for future use.
• Candidates must verify the details printed on the admit card to avoid any future problems, after downloading it.

• Step 3: A new webpage will open. Register yourself to generate the login ID and password.
• Step 4: Log in with the registration ID and password you received on your email ID or phone number.
• Step 5: Fill in the application form.
• Step 6: Upload your photograph, signature and other documents in the prescribed format and size.
• Step 7: Pay the application fee as per your category before submitting the application form.
• Step 8: Download IB Recruitment 2023 application form and take a printout for future reference.
